Locally Run.
Globally Impactful

Our Race for Life began as a grassroots initiative in Guernsey, sparked by a desire to bring the community together in a shared mission to fight cancer. Founded by Dani Barnett, a passionate local volunteer, the event was inspired by the national Race for Life movement, but tailored to the island’s unique spirit and needs.

What started as a small gathering quickly grew into a powerful annual event. Bringing together hundreds of participants - runners, walkers and supporters - all united by a common goal; to raise awareness, show support and fund life-saving research through the Cancer Research UK Guernsey Branch. Since its inception the event has raised over £100,000 and continues to grow in strength and impact year after year.
